What is the Master's / MBA in Hospital & Health Care Management?
The Master's / MBA in Hospital & Health Care Management is a postgraduate management degree focused on the health sector, including hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres, health insurance and public health organisations. As an advanced course, study covers a broad range of disciplines such as health care operation management, health care marketing, health informatics, health care law, organisational behaviour and corporate finance. The goal is to combine core management skills with an understanding of how health services are planned, run and improved, so that organisations work well for patients and staff alike.
The programme is open to graduates in any stream from a recognised university, with 60 seats, and the master's degree is awarded by SSU. This Master's / MBA in Kolkata gives students the training and tools needed for a management career in domestic and international health care settings.
The Master's / MBA combines 3 main goals
To provide sound management knowledge and tools for health care settings
To enrich strategic and operational insight into hospital and health care work
To prepare participants to manage in domestic and international health care
This specialisation offers a structured management education for graduates who want to build a career in the hospital and health care sector. The Master's / MBA helps graduates prepare for the next step in their career, whether in hospitals, clinics or wider health organisations. Students develop skills across health care operation management, health care marketing, health informatics and health care law, supported by corporate finance, business statistics and accounts for management. Business communication and organisational behaviour help students lead teams in demanding, patient-facing settings.
Students also study research methods in health care, which builds the ability to read evidence, analyse data and apply it to real problems faced by hospitals and wider health organisations. Domestic and international placement support is available to students on completion of the programme.
Programme Structure
The MBA in Hospital & Health Care Management is not a separate course. It is the same two-year Master's / MBA programme described above, open to graduates in any stream from a recognised university. It brings together health care operation management, health care marketing, health informatics and health care law with core business subjects. The aim is to help students understand how health services are organised, financed and improved. This is how a management course focused on health care can shape your career.
The programme has 60 seats. Alongside health care subjects, students study organisational behaviour, corporate finance, business statistics, business communication and accounts for management. Research methods in health care give students a grounding in evidence and analysis. On completion, the master's degree is awarded by SSU, and domestic and international placement support is available for students who want a clear management path in the health care sector.
The wider health sector includes government and private hospitals, clinics, laboratories, health insurance companies, pharmaceuticals and public health departments. A career in this field can be further strengthened by pursuing the Master's / MBA in hospital management in Kolkata.

Its main purpose is to give patients diagnosis, treatment and care.
Hospital management covers the planning, organisation and day-to-day running of hospitals and health care organisations, so that patients receive safe, timely care and the organisation stays financially sound.
